Developing children's numeracy skills in a childcare setting
This is a free* 5 week course suitable for anyone interested in volunteering or working in a childcare setting. You will learn about how important your own numeracy skills are when working with young children to help them to develop their own numeracy skills. This is not a qualification course so there are no entry requirements for it, but you will receive a certificate of attendance.

This course is delivered face to face in Arndale House.
What will I learn?
In this course you will learn:

about the key mathematical areas in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

to use mathematical words related to these areas

to recognise where numeracy skills can be embedded into everyday activities.
There are no specific requirements to join this course, other than a basic level of English.
