ESOL Entry 1

This is the right course for you if you want to develop basic language skills for everyday communication, progress at work or progress on to further study. You will learn how to make simple sentences and use the present tenses. You will start to read and write simple information, make sentences, fill in a form etc.

Criteria for this course:

You need to be reading, writing, speaking and listening at a basic level. You need to understand simple instructions and write information such as your name, address, phone number, etc.

Course Duration:

• Speaking and listening - 12 weeks approx.

• Reading - 12 weeks approx.

• Writing - 12 weeks approx.

When you fully achieve ESOL Entry level 1, you can move on to ESOL Entry level 2.

Exams:

At the end of each course learners take an exam and get a certificate for their qualification after passing the exam. Please remember, you will not be entered for an exam if you aren’t ready, or if your attendance is below 85%.
