Luton Adult Learning was awarded 'Apprenticeship Provider of the Year' at the recent town-wide apprenticeship awards ceremony.
Luton Adult Learning has recently been awarded 'Apprenticehip Training Provider of the Year' at the first ever Luton Apprenticeship Awards event held at Putteridge Bury at the end of February, reflecting the significant impact LAL has achieved with Luton care leavers.
The team has supported the care leavers throughout their apprenticeships, helping them to develop the skills that they need to be independent and successful in the workplace.
Care leavers have gone on to gain permanent employment both within the department and with other council services. Apprenticeships have provided a platform for these young people to showcase their talents and secure meaningful careers.
We also celebrated the amazing achievement of Raj Busawon who won 'Second Career' at the same awards event.
A few years ago, Raj joined an Adult Learning "Passport to Employment" course to explore job pathways in Luton.
Raj now works full-time as a teacher at Luton Adult Learning where he is a valued member of the team, teaching ICT and maths.
