Passport to Supporting in Schools

Do you want to work in a support role in school?

Maybe as a teaching assistant, a midday supervisor, a behaviour assistant, a site agent or in an administrative role?

Then this course is for you…

During this workshop you will:

• identify the skills and qualifications required to work in a supporting role in a school

• recognise the importance of safeguarding children in school

• identify how to promote health & safety in a school setting

• improve your knowledge of equality & diversity and how to promote this in a school

• identify your next steps to gaining work in a supporting role in school

What do I need to take part in this course?

Sessions are face to face, please attend in person and bring with you, a pen and paper.

Following the session you will sent additional resources so you will need an email address so you can correspond with the teacher.

What will I be expected to do before the course?

Please check your emails / mobile telephones for information from the teacher.

What will I be expected to do during the course?

• arrive on time to the session

• actively take part in the session

• complete any activities that are set 

• complete an evaluation form at the end of the session
